About Me

My name is Oleg Melnikov. I've been playing violin for 42 years and teaching actively for 27 years. I'm also the creator of ViolinExplorer, a YouTube channel with over 28,000 subscribers dedicated to helping beginner and intermediate violinists build solid technique through structured, methodical practice.

My teaching style is patient, structured, and built around your goals — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Adult learners bring focus, curiosity, and dedication to their practice, and I tailor every lesson to meet you exactly where you are.

  • Format: One-on-one, online via FaceTime or Google Meets

  • Length: 60 minutes
