About Me
My name is Oleg Melnikov. I've been playing violin for 42 years and teaching since 2001. I'm also the creator of ViolinExplorer, a YouTube channel with nearly 30,000 subscribers dedicated to helping beginner and intermediate violinists build solid technique through structured, methodical practice.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and built around your goals — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Adult learners bring focus, curiosity, and dedication to their practice, and I tailor every lesson to meet you exactly where you are.
Lesson Details
Format: One-on-one, online (Zoom, FaceTime or Google Meet) or in person in Asheville, NC
Who: Adults and returning players are my specialty. Teens and children are welcome too.
Lengths and rates: 30 min, $35 · 45 min, $50 · 60 min, $60
